Job description

As a Solution Architect within the Infrastructure & Cloud Practice Architects group, you will work closely with pursuit technical and leadership teams to define and deliver complex customer solutions. You will be responsible for providing technical sales support and serving as the subject matter expert for key customer engagements. Additionally, you will influence the DXC Cloud services strategy.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You should possess technical skills in Public Cloud, hybrid cloud, and multi-public cloud environments. Your expertise should include leading the design, development, and delivery of compelling solutions. Recognized as a leader in the cloud industry, you should have contributed knowledge through white papers and research articles.

Experience and Skills

• Experience building and deploying cloud solutions in environments ranging from small to large scale.
• Proven track record overseeing all aspects of public, hybrid, and multi-cloud solutions.
• Ability to identify business opportunities and drive profitable success.
• Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to develop strong partnerships.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide high-level and detailed consultative solutions and technical sales support for customer opportunities, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
2. Perform technical presentations for customers, partners, and potential clients.
3. Support Solution Architects and deal teams with consultative guidance.
4. Prepare cloud architecture solutions, including landing zones.
5. Understand customer requirements and pain points to develop cost-effective, technically superior solutions.
6. Demonstrate value additions through showcases and demos related to DXC services.
7. Collaborate with cloud service providers to optimize costs and options for customers.
8. Mentor Architects and exhibit leadership qualities.
9. Publish white papers and gather product requirements to refine solutions and offerings.
10. Drive additional sales and business opportunities throughout the process.
11. Work with Practice Architects to ensure successful deal closures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of systems integration experience.
• Minimum 5 years of solution architect experience.
• Leadership in customer discussions, requirements analysis, and technical solution creation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted advisor relationships.
• Proven experience across various industries.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud and virtualization technologies and architectures.
• Experience selling cloud and virtualization solutions at engineering and executive levels.
• Experience integrating and proposing third-party products for cloud solutions.

Expertise in:

• MS Azure and AWS architectures.
• Traditional, private, and public cloud architectures.
• DevOps and agile methodologies.
• Cloud computing software such as OpenStack, SoftLayer, etc.
• Network connectivity and security technologies in cloud environments.

Familiarity with:

• Cloud workload migration methodologies and tools.
• Disaster recovery solutions, including backup, recovery, and global failover.
• IaaS, SaaS, PaaS offerings, and commercial models.
• Professional certifications from cloud providers like Amazon, Google, Microsoft.
