Job description

As a Solution Architect within the Infrastructure & Cloud Practice Architects group, you will work closely with our pursuit, technical, and leadership teams to define and deliver complex customer solutions.

You will be responsible for providing technical sales support and serving as the subject matter expert for key customer engagements.

You will also influence the DXC Cloud services strategy.

Our ideal candidate will possess expertise in Public Cloud, hybrid cloud, and multi-public cloud environments.

You should have the skills to lead the design, development, and delivery of compelling solutions.

You are recognized as a leader within the cloud industry and have contributed knowledge through white papers or research articles.

Experience in building and deploying cloud solutions in environments ranging from small to large scale is essential.

You should have a proven track record overseeing all aspects of public, hybrid, and multi-cloud solutions, with a history of identifying business opportunities and driving profitable success.

Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to develop strong partnerships will be key to your success in this role.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Providing high-level and detailed consultative solutions and technical sales support for customer opportunities.
  2. Understanding business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
  3. Delivering technical presentations to customers, partners, and potential clients.
  4. Supporting Solution Architects, Leaders, and deal teams with consultative guidance.
  5. Preparing cloud architecture solutions and landing zones.
  6. Collaborating with customers to understand their requirements and pain points.
  7. Developing cost-effective and technically superior solutions.
  8. Demonstrating value additions and showcasing solutions through POCs and demos.
  9. Working with cloud service providers to optimize options and costs.
  10. Mentoring Architects in assigned opportunities.
  11. Exhibiting leadership and being recognized as a leader by stakeholders.
  12. Publishing white papers on relevant topics.
  13. Gathering product requirements and contributing to solution refinement.
  14. Driving add-on sales and business opportunities.
  15. Ensuring successful execution within the team of Practice Architects.

Qualifications – Internal

Technical Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of systems integration experience.
  • At least 5 years of solution architect experience.
  • Leadership in customer discussions, requirements analysis, and creating technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and relational skills to build trusted advisor relationships.
  • Experience with diverse industries and cloud/virtualization technologies.
  • Experience selling cloud solutions at engineering and executive levels.
  • Ability to manage and propose third-party solutions.
  • Expertise in MS Azure, AWS, traditional and private cloud architectures, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud migration, disaster recovery, security, and orchestration.
  • Professional certifications from cloud providers such as Amazon, Google, or Microsoft.
