Our premium passenger vehicle dealership in PTA currently holds a vacancy for a Service Manager.
Reporting to the Dealer Principal/Franchise Executive, this position is suited for a person who can ensure that the dealership makes profits and maintains good customer relationships.
Specific Role Responsibilities
- Ensure departmental achievement of budget objectives through continual examination of operating controls.
- Operate the department efficiently.
- Ensure accurate invoicing and job costing.
- Maintain effective control of expenses aligned with budget objectives.
- Monitor workshop productivity and effective use of labour.
- Ensure prompt collection of all outstanding debts.
- Control and profitably sell purchased materials.
- Review pricing policies, labour rates, fleet discounts, parts pricing, and other company policies.
- Monitor workshop technician performance and warranty claims.
- Enhance customer service and retention through improved facilities, technician skills, marketing, and staff training.
- Maintain high standards of quality workmanship.
- Record and act upon customer complaints or compliments.
- Oversee warranty and goodwill cases.
- Identify training needs, plan programs, and maintain training records.
- Implement staff appraisal systems and act on results.
- Conduct monthly service staff meetings.
- Ensure clerical functions adhere to policies.
- Review departmental activities with the Dealer Principal.
- Manage premises, equipment, and assets effectively.
- Establish safety and security procedures.
- Check workshop equipment for condition and diagnosis accuracy.
- Open and close premises responsibly.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of Grade 12.
- At least 5 years of managerial experience in a Service Department.
- Preference for candidates with Service Technician Qualification.
- Luxury brand product training required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Clear criminal record required.
