A leading global provider of renewable materials is seeking a Maintenance Manager for their plant in Tugela. The role involves managing maintenance and reliability on pulp and paper mill assets, leading a team, and effectively utilizing data analysis to predict equipment failures. Job Specifications/Requirements:
Manage predictive and preventive maintenance and reliability on pulp and paper mill assets through lubrication, infrared (IR), vibration monitoring, nondestructive testing (NDT), and inspection programs. Provide strong management and technical skills in the use and application of motor spectral and rotating equipment vibration analysis, along with other nondestructive testing methods. Analyze data to monitor and predict equipment failure as part of the reliability maintenance program. Supervise craftsmen performing data collection routines, oil sampling, and other predictive and preventive tasks. Develop and implement reliability improvement projects across the site.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of college in a technical or engineering field, or equivalent mill experience.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with all management levels and hourly personnel.
Self-starter requiring only general direction.
Strong mechanical aptitude to relate data analysis to physical components.
Good computer skills and familiarity with various software programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Four-year technical degree.
Experience in vibration analysis and machinery lubrication.
Proven leadership in implementing latest technology.
Supervisory experience.
Five years of experience in a pulp and paper mill or similar industry.
