Job summary

South African Bank Note Company (Pty) Ltd is seeking a machine operator to run cutting equipment and produce banknotes that meet strict SA standards. You will set denominations, verify quality, maintain safe SOP compliance and minimize waste.

The role requires basic education with a focus on production principles and numeracy. You will work on-site in Pretoria, following SHE guidelines and participating in data entry into DCLink.

Responsibilities

• Cutting & packing products as per set performance targets and in full compliance with quality specifications
• Perform denomination settings, quality checks through measuring of notes against set specifications
• Ensure that machines are operated according to Standard Operating Procedures
• Minimise wastage in every activity within set
• Perform autonomous maintenance tasks as per the schedule, and report any defective performance to the Section Head
• Operate the machine in adherence to SHE regulations
• Contribute to continuous improvements
• Ensure that machines are counting accurately under dual checks
• Report any balancing issues to the Section Head
• Ensure correct entry of data into DCLink
