Placements24 in South Africa seeks a Precision Agriculture Technician to support field operations, install and calibrate GPS-guided equipment, collect and analyze drone and sensor data, and work directly with farmers to optimize crop performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Agricultural Technology, Electronics, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with agricultural equipment, preferably precision agriculture.
• Strong GPS, GIS, sensor tech and data management knowledge.
• Ability to work outdoors and travel within the Mahikeng region.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Requirements

• Strong understanding of GPS, GIS, sensor technology, and data management principles.
• Familiarity with farm management software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with farmers.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field‑based role.
