A well established company in Johannesburg North requires a Pre Sales Specialist. The purpose of the Pre-Sales role is to support the sales team by providing technical expertise and solution design that addresses client needs.

A Pre-Sales Consultant needs a balanced skill set that combines technical knowledge, strategic thinking, communication, and client-centric problem-solving.

Essential Skills for a Successful Pre-Sales Consultant:

  1. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the company’s products and services, as well as underlying technologies and relevant industry standards. Familiarity with solution architecture, system integration, and product customisation to address diverse client needs.

  3. Product Demonstrations and Presentations: Conduct customised product demonstrations, Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements, and technical workshops for clients.
  4. Client Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, establishing trust and positioning the company as a trusted technical advisor.
  5. Industry and Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape, and technical developments.
  6. Documentation and Handover to Implementation: Document client requirements and solution designs for smooth handover to post-sales and implementation teams.

SMART Goals for Pre-Sales Consultant:

  1. Increase Proposal Success Rate: Achieve a proposal-to-win rate of at least 40% for new logos and 70% for existing clients.
  2. Enhance Demo Conversion Rate: Reach a conversion rate of 50% for product demos and 70% for POCs within six months.
  3. Enhance POC Conversion Rate: Reach a conversion rate of 70% for POCs within six months.
  4. Reduce RFP/RFI Response Time: Decrease RFP and RFI response times by 20%, ensuring responses are submitted within SLA timelines.
