Job summary

Operating under global strategic brands Ariston, Elco, and Wolf, as well as brands like Calorex, NTI, HTP, Atag, Brink, Chromagen, Racold, Thermowatt, and Ecoflam, we are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Technical Sales Support & Training Specialist to assist our Pre-Sales Manager and support our agents and channel partners.

This role focuses on delivering product training, providing technical support, and ensuring customer satisfaction through comprehensive product knowledge and responsive engagement.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Pre-Sales Manager with product demonstrations, training materials, and customer engagements.
  2. Deliver ongoing product and technical training to internal sales teams, agents, and key channel partners.
  3. Design and manage the training program for merchants and installers.
  4. Serve as a technical resource for complex product queries and application support.
  5. Liaise with customers and sales agents to clarify technical requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
  6. Support the Warranty Manager, sales agents, and customers on technical and installation requirements, including handling complaints.
  7. Monitor and report on training outcomes, technical support trends, and product-related issues.
  8. Provide input into new product development and enhancements based on customer feedback and market trends.
  9. Assist in preparing technical documentation, FAQs, and support materials.
  10. Contribute technical input on quotes, pro-forma invoices, and customer proposals.
  11. Assist in resolving technical complaints and troubleshooting customer issues efficiently.
  12. Support internal teams with accurate product data, technical sheets, and installation guidance.
  13. Maintain updated knowledge of all product ranges and new developments.
  14. Communicate via various mediums (email, telephone, in-person) with customers, internal teams, and sales agents.
  15. Ensure all product and training-related queries are addressed promptly, accurately, and professionally.
Key Requirements:
  • Formal trade qualification in plumbing, preferably NQF 4 or higher.
  • Minimum qualification of Matric.
  • Formal training on the installation of one or more water heating products.
  • Strong technical understanding of the building and construction market.
  • Ability to read and interpret building/construction drawings and specifications.
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in a technical support, pre-sales, or training role within the construction or building materials industry.
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with BOQ (Bill of Quantity) documentation and pricing structures.
