Critical Outputs

• Create and maintain a professional patient focused pre-admission environment.
• Performing Clinical Assessments of Patients prior to being admitted to hospital.
• Liaising with medical aids to obtain authorization for admission.
• Manage the risk of the hospital and adherence to Life Healthcare Protocols.
• Collection of co-payments, private fees when applicable including completion of relevant documentation.
• Manage and control the Pre-Admission process.
• Manage and monitor input on iMEDS system, manage re-authorizations, rejections, delays, monitoring insurance verification, submission of accurate accounts to Funders.
• Adhere to ISO 9001 standards & patient escalation processes.
• Ensure compliance of SLA’s with internal stakeholders, foster positive professional relationships.
• Ensure compliance in terms of RSRT framework

Requirements

• Grade 12 Qualification
• EN or RN qualification
• Extensive knowledge or experience in clinical coding (Icd 10 and CPT coding )
• Computer literacy (Impilo, MS Office, Imeds)
• Excellent communication skills & experience in dealing with Doctors and customers
• Knowledge of hospital procedures and medical terminology
• Teamwork
• Previous experience will be a strong recommendation
• Strong customer service ethic and ability to organize, plan and work under pressure
