Purpose of the job :

The purpose of the PRO is to act in a hospitality role, executing best practices in the Brand home. To focus on creating experiences that build brand awareness, educate, and drive trial at the JC Le Roux tasting room, aiming to reach growth targets and exceed customer experience expectations. The role involves delivering service excellence and maintaining world-class hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Manage all aspects of the J.C. Le Roux Tasting Room guest experience and ensure service excellence.
  • Conduct tastings, tours, and presentations on Sparkling Wine.
  • Promote and sell destination offerings, experiences, and products.
  • Assist in organizing functions and events with the Operations Manager.
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing to develop a 12 to 18-month Brand Home business plan.
  • Implement consumer engagement plans and activation strategies to create memorable experiences.
  • Support management in developing new revenue streams to optimize profit.
  • Increase brand awareness, sales, and visitor numbers.
  • Drive database and wine club sign-ups.
  • Maintain the brand home’s exterior and interior, including gardens, to enhance guest experience.
  • Ensure health & safety compliance and manage upgrades and maintenance.
  • Assist in implementing quality systems and procedures to maintain operational excellence.
  • Handle stock, cash, and daily banking efficiently, minimizing losses.
  • Manage administration, procurement, budgeting, and stock of products and souvenirs.
  • Train temporary staff and ensure effective communication and motivation among staff.
  • Manage online sales accounts (Shopify, Orders@ email).
  • Conduct stock takes and manage office rosters.
  • Handle IT-related duties.
Education & Experience :
  • Recognized hospitality qualification in hospitality, tourism, or event coordination.
  • Cape Wine Academy (CWA) Certificate is advantageous.
  • Experience in the wine industry and hospitality/events industry, preferably in a premium wine environment.
  • Proven sales experience and ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Strong administrative skills, literacy, and numeracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Track record of achieving targets.
  • Exceptional customer service and sales skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, friendly, approachable, and professional.
  • Willing to work weekends, public holidays, and overtime as required.
