Publicis Groupe Africa is inviting graduates to join its Le Cubs 2027 internship program as a PR Account Assistant Intern in Cape Town. You will learn all PR processes, support administration, and assist with coverage tracking and reporting for client accounts.

The role focuses on media lists, relations, pitching, writing, and research, with daily Newsdesk involvement, and requires a diploma or degree in PR or communications. A proactive, detail-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Recently completing or currently completing a Diploma or Degree in Public Relations or Communications or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a keen interest in media.

Responsibilities

• Keep media lists updated and tailor lists per client content; maintain a master list for each client.
• Build knowledge of the South African media landscape and cultivate media contacts.
• Improve pitching skills to craft compelling angles that resonate with journalists.
• Develop basic writing for emails and media pitches.
• Demonstrate basic research and present information.
• Participate in daily MSL Newsdesk meetings and take notes when asked.
• Use Microsoft Office suite effectively and manage timesheets and client reports.
