Job description

Job Title: Power Tool Repair Technician

Our client in the Power Tools industry is seeking a problem-solver to join their repairs team, supporting aftercare services for customers. The ideal candidate will have a practical and logical mindset, enjoy working with hands and tools, and demonstrate strong work ethics and determination.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Inspect, diagnose, disassemble, repair, assemble, quality check, and clean various power tools (pneumatic, corded, cordless).
  2. Assist with stock take of parts.
  3. Perform basic administrative duties such as invoicing and reporting.
  4. Engage with customers, gather information, and provide feedback.
  5. Undergo training and upskilling on repair techniques and programs.
  6. Occasional off-site repairs at customer premises.
  7. Maintain repair tools and ensure housekeeping standards.
  8. Coordinate with R&D and Quality Control departments.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Skills and Experience:
  • Good understanding of power tools and their applications.
  • Electronic and technical knowledge of power tools and accessories.
  • Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs manually.
  • Attention to detail and ability to interpret exploded views, parts diagrams, and repair programs.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Qualifications:
  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12).
  • Technical qualifications (optional).
  • Technical or repairing background preferred.
  • Valid SA driver's license.
  • Residence in Midrand, Centurion, or surrounding areas is preferred.
