Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks a Power BI Developer for a 5 month contract with potential extension. The role focuses on building and delivering Power BI reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards, using SQL data sources and cloud services.

You will develop data models, implement security, and ensure data governance in collaboration with IT and analytics teams. This contract requires strong BI skills and experience with Power BI, DAX, and ETL processes.

Qualifications

• Matric and a Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics or related field.
• 5+ years experience as a Power BI Developer.
• Strong data analysis and business intelligence experience.
• Experience with BI tools and systems such as Power BI, Tableau and QlikView.

Responsibilities

• Develop, publish, and schedule Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.
• Design and develop data models, KPI scorecards, and visual reports.
• Create data relationships and multidimensional models; implement row-level security.
• Collaborate with IT and data teams on data governance and security policies.
• Monitor data refresh schedules and optimize performance.

Power BI Developer - 5 Month Contract [with possible extension]

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelors degree, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years experience as Power BI Developer.
• Strong experience in data analysis and business intelligence.
• Mandate to have experience with BI tools and systems such as Power BI,
• Tableau andQlikView.
• Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and Dashboards using Power BI.
• Experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying Power BI scripts andperforming detailed analytics.
• Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensionaldata models.
• Knowledge in Microsoft BI Stack and Data Analytics.
• Experience in implementing row-level security on data and understanding applicationsecurity layer models in Power BI.
• Proficient in Power BI, including Power Query and DAX.
• Experience with SQL and database management systems.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience in designmethodology and project documentation.
• Integrating Power BI reports with various data sources including SQL Server, Excel,Azure, SharePoint, and cloud services.

• Performance and Optimization:
