Applications are invited for a postdoctoral researcher to join the research group at University College Dublin as part of the Next Generation Energy Systems (NexSys) project. The successful candidate will contribute to the design of innovative control schemes aimed at enhancing the frequency and voltage response of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), as well as the development of advanced tools for managing dynamic interactions between transmission and distribution networks.

Requirements

– A PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Control Systems, or a related field

– Demonstrated experience in the design and analysis of control schemes for energy systems

– Strong background in distributed energy resources and grid integration

– Proficiency in simulation tools and relevant programming languages

– Excellent communication and teamwork skills
