The Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the Tulane University Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (CSWSPHTM) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join a multidisciplinary team working on a National Academy of Sciences Gulf Research Program-funded project. This project investigates the impacts of several climate change-induced risk factors—such as heat, humidity, tropical storms, and floods—on cardiovascular, respiratory, and mental health outcomes in the Gulf South region of the United States, determines their cumulative effects, and assesses the vulnerabilities to these impacts.
The successful candidate will be supervised by Dr. Mostafijur Rahman, Assistant Professor of Environmental Health Sciences. The postdoctoral researcher will actively engage in various scientific activities, including:
