A leading South African university seeks postdoctoral fellows in the field of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Digitisation. Candidates should hold a PhD awarded within the last five years, have at least one publication in an accredited journal, and one conference presentation. The role includes generating two research outputs per year and preparing quarterly progress reports, with a monthly stipend of R30,000. Applications via CV to the provided email.
The Department of Financial Intelligence in the College of Accounting Sciences at the University of South Africa (UNISA) currently has an Open Call for postdoctoral fellows in the field of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and Digitisation (related areas will also be considered). Qualitative methods are preferred, but not limited to them.
The minimum requirements are:
- PhD awarded within the last five years.
- Applicant must be younger than 50 years of age.
- At least one publication in a DHET-accredited journal (journal indexed in WoS, Scopus, IBSS, DOAJ indices and selected South African-based journals).
- At least one academic conference presentation of their research (attendance only does not count).
- Potential candidates who meet the requirements above will have to prepare an acceptable research programme for 36 months (an application form will be provided).
- Interviews will be conducted with short-listed candidates.
Successful postdoctoral fellows should be willing to:
- Generate and publish two Research Output Units (1 ROU = 1 sole-authored article) each year. If co-authors exist, the ROU is calculated pro rata, meaning more publications are required to achieve the quota of 2 ROUs per year.
- Reside in the greater Pretoria area, South Africa. A visa must be obtained if relevant.
- The duration is 36 months, renewable after every 12 months, depending on acceptable performance.
- Quarterly reports on progress must be prepared
- The stipend is R30,000 (non-taxable) per month.
