Job summary

The University of the Free State invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Digital Transformation for Teaching and Learning in Education. The position is based in the Department of Curriculum Studies and Higher Education, Faculty of Education, Bloemfontein Campus, for 1 year with possible renewal up to 3 years.

The Fellow will conduct quantitative and mixed-methods research, supervise where appropriate, and contribute to publications and dissemination of curriculum

Qualifications

• PhD in Education with ICT specialization completed within the last five years.
• Open to SA and foreign nationals for full-time research at UFS.
• Residential fellowship; 80% of period spent at the Bloemfontein Campus.
• No full-time salaried employment during the fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct innovative research in technology integration and digital transformation in education.
• Publish at least three DHET-accredited outputs per year.
• Provide limited supervision and co-supervision at Honours/Masters/Doctoral levels.
• Collaborate on research proposals, project reporting and dissemination.
