A leading company in the postal industry is seeking a Post Office Operations Clerk to manage all postal operations in their Rosebank office. This role involves coordinating both incoming and outgoing post, ensuring compliance with postal regulations, and maintaining detailed records. Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have at least 1-2 years of experience in logistics or dispatch operations.
The Post Office Operations Clerk is responsible for overseeing the administrative and logistical coordination of all postal items related to the company's internal and external operations.

Handle all incoming and outgoing post for the company.
Sort, package, and label postal items accurately for dispatch.
Coordinate bulk mail and courier shipments with the South African Post Office and third-party services.
Ensure daily logging, filing, and updating of dispatch records and tracking systems.
Process postage payments, maintain postage balances, and reconcile postal usage.
Liaise with the sales and admin teams for dispatch needs and customer delivery statuses.
Track and trace posted items and escalate delays or lost parcels where necessary.
Provide weekly reports on postal volumes and delivery timelines.
Assist with inventory of packaging materials and request stock replenishment as needed.
Ensure compliance with postal regulations and internal dispatch procedures.
Qualifications and Skills : Qualifications :
Matric (Grade 12)
Post office or dispatch training (advantageous)
Skills :
Excellent organisational and administrative skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
Knowledge of postal and courier tracking systems
Clear verbal and written communication
High attention to detail
Experience :
1–2 years in post office operations, logistics, or general dispatch role
Experience working with the South African Post Office or courier companies (advantageous)
Reliable and punctual
Deadline-driven and proactive
Able to handle repetitive tasks with precision
Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills
Able to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

Monday to Friday, 08 : 00 AM – 05 : 00 PM
