Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires the services of a reputable Post Basic Qualify Pharmacist Assistant for their Norwood store. Your role will involve providing pharmaceutical care by managing patients' medicine-related needs and being accountable for meeting these needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Basic Pharmacist Assistance qualification
- Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Experience with Unisolv
- Computer literacy in MS Office
- Strong numerical skills
- Proficiency in English and a second language
- Willingness to work retail hours
Advantages:
- Knowledge of Retail/FMCG operations
- Additional language skills (3rd language)
- Experience with SAP and E-Scripting
- Knowledge of drug family planning and complementary medicine
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the sale and preparation of Schedule 1 and 2 medicines
- Assist in compounding and manufacturing non-sterile medicines
- Re-package medicines and manage stock control
- Order medicines according to legal requirements
- Interpret prescriptions and prepare medicines accordingly
- Accurately capture and verify script details
- Ensure correct dispensing and provide patient instructions
- Update and maintain patient and medical aid information
- Ensure medication accuracy and compliance with legal standards
- Assist patients in the dispensary and front-shop
- Follow up on prescriptions and medical aid claims
- Maintain stock levels and perform stock takes
