Dis-Chem Pharmacies require the services of a reputable Post Basic Qualify Pharmacist Assistant for their Nkomo Village store. Your role will involve providing pharmaceutical care by addressing patients' medicine-related needs and being accountable for meeting these needs.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Grade 12 / Matric
2. Basic Pharmacist Assistance qualification
3. Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
4. Experience with Unisolv
5. Computer literacy – MS Office
6. Sound numerical skills
7. Strong command of English and at least one other language
8. Willingness to work retail hours

Advantageous Skills:

• Knowledge of Retail/FMCG operations
• Proficiency in a third language
• Experience with SAP and E-Scripting
• Knowledge of drug, family planning, and complementary medicine

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with the sale and preparation of medicines, including Schedule 1 to Schedule 5 medicines
2. Re-packaging, stock control, and ordering of medicines
3. Reading, interpreting, and preparing prescriptions accurately
4. Ensure all medications are checked and signed by a pharmacist
5. Provide patient instructions and health promotion information
6. Process claims and handle medical aid procedures
7. Maintain accurate customer profiles and stock levels
8. Facilitate stock takes and exercise stock, cash, and asset control
