Dis-Chem Pharmacies - Post Basic Qualify Pharmacist Assistant

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a reputable Post Basic Qualify Pharmacist Assistant for their Ferngate store.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing pharmaceutical care by managing patients' medicine-related needs and being accountable for meeting these needs.
  2. Assisting with the sale, compounding, manufacturing, re-packaging, and distribution of medicines according to standard operating procedures and legal requirements.
  3. Reading, preparing, and dispensing prescriptions accurately, including labeling and supplying medicines in appropriate containers.
  4. Advising and assisting patients, including follow-up on scripts and medical aid procedures.
  5. Processing paperwork for claims, ensuring accuracy, and managing stock levels and inventory control.
  6. Maintaining customer profiles and ensuring all medications are checked and signed off by a pharmacist.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Basic Pharmacist Assistance qualification
  • Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
  • Working experience with Unisolv
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Sound numerical skills
  • Strong command of English and a second language
  • Willingness to work retail hours

Advantages:
