Job summary

Absa Bank Limited is seeking a capable DevOps Engineer to contribute across the development lifecycle, delivering high-performing, enterprise-grade applications. You will work within an agile team on Front End, Back End or Middleware, focusing on self-service, repeatability, testability and scalability.

The role covers CI/CD pipeline support, automation with Jenkins, Docker, Ansible and Kubernetes, and ongoing improvement of processes while aligning with Group Architecture and governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Ansible.
• Ability to work in an agile team.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Develop, optimize, and document source code for scalable applications.
• Develop test plans and perform manual and automated testing.
• Conduct peer reviews and support user adoption materials.
• Identify risks and align documentation with governance frameworks.
