A leading cell captive insurance provider is seeking a results-oriented Portfolio Manager to enhance their UMA portfolio. We are recruiting a results-oriented Portfolio Manager to support the growth and operational excellence of a leading cell captive insurance provider’s UMA portfolio. The role focuses on strategic initiative execution, partner engagement, performance monitoring, and ensuring compliance and financial alignment with internal and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Implement strategic initiatives across cell captive partnerships.
Manage UMA partner relationships with oversight of claims, underwriting, compliance, and solvency.
Drive portfolio growth and profitability through effective partner engagement and marketing.
Coordinate with internal departments (underwriting, claims, actuarial, compliance, reinsurance, finance) and external stakeholders such as the FSCA.
Analyze and manage the financial performance of UMA cell captive partners.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
BCom Degree or equivalent relevant tertiary qualification (essential)
FAIS Compliant (required)
Minimum 7 years’ experience in the insurance industry, ideally in a portfolio management or partnership role
Strong understanding of claims, reinsurance, underwriting, compliance, and insurance financials
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
Business Acumen : Understands insurance operations and financial fundamentals.
Client Orientation : Demonstrates service excellence and partnership building.
Negotiation : Navigates complex conversations and solutions with stakeholders.
Collaboration : Works cross-functionally to ensure strategic alignment.
