Job description

To effectively and efficiently partake in all portfolio administration processes to ensure accurate completion of all tasks.

To manage the delivery of high-quality services to clients, building effective relationships with internal teams, and promoting a culture of high performance, innovation, ambition, and continuous improvement within Investment Operations.

The successful incumbent will assist with functions within the portfolio administration area, including but not limited to private market processes, daily pricing functions, new portfolio take-ons, reconciliations, and monitoring transactions loaded by the APEX teams.

The successful incumbent will report to the Head of Portfolio Administration in the Investment Administration area, with indirect lines to the relevant senior manager within the broader team.

Qualifications :
  • National Certificate / Matric
  • Bachelor's Degree (3 years - credits)
  • Financial Market Instruments Experience :
  • Financial Instruments (1-3 years)
  • Implementations / Transitions (1-3 years)
  • Portfolio Administration (1-3 years)
Key Performance Areas :
  • Private Markets :
  • Market Value updates
  • Processing transactions – calls, distributions, etc.
  • Monitoring all communication
  • Updating clients
  • Pricing :
  • Ensure the daily pricing process is completed accurately and successfully.
  • Ensure benchmarks are accurate.
  • Resolve pricing queries with administrators Maitland and stakeholders.
  • Support pricing team.
  • Assist trade and rebalance team where required.
  • Resolve trading queries with rebalance team and administrators APEX.
Adhoc :
  • Provide support to senior management.
  • Ensure day-to-day dealing with APEX is completed accurately and on time.
  • Manage daily NAV queries from an implementation perspective.
  • Build effective relationships with internal teams such as platform and the Investment Team.
