Our client is seeking 2 experienced POD Clerks to join the Spartan, Johannesburg team.
Responsibilities:
- Debrief trip sheets received from drivers.
- Ensure receivers sign and complete details on the POD, including name, signature, date, time, and stamps if required.
- Attach required documents to the POD, such as GRVs, GRNs, waybills, delivery notes, and invoices, and cross-reference attachments with waybills.
- Note discrepancies on Parcel Perfect and report to warehouse management.
- Capture all verbal PODs onto the system daily.
- Scan and upload PODs onto the system.
- Assist customers via telephone politely and confidently.
- Send daily missing PODs report to specified branches.
- Verify trip sheets against outstanding PODs daily.
- Check online waybills for duplicates.
- Forward PODs to customers daily or within an agreed timeframe.
- Follow up on at least 50 outstanding PODs daily.
- Retrieve account copies for resigning if not supplied by customers.
- Ensure outstanding PODs are scanned and returned to customers.
- Check customer deliveries to maintain a 5-day or less turnaround time for PODs to be returned.
- Provide PODs to the client both verbally and in hardcopy upon request.
- Prepare floor reports upon request.
- Ensure previous month’s PODs are resolved and systems cleared, with only current month’s PODs outstanding.
- Confirm dispatch of all freight for delivery when required.
- Capture daily verbal PODs into Parcel Perfect.
- Note and report problem freight promptly, and follow up daily.
- Perform other tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Book and follow up on clients’ collections.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years relevant courier experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Parcel Perfect experience preferred.
