This role is within a well-established technical team, providing services for a renowned South African plumbing brand. You will play a key role in enhancing customer satisfaction, ensuring safety, and maintaining high service quality. Job Purpose:

This technical role ensures effective handling of customer requests and compliance with operational and administrative standards. The technician is responsible for delivering plumbing, gas, and solar services in both residential and commercial contexts.

Positions Available: 2

Location :Boksburg

Salary: R12 500 – R15 000 per month, depending on experience

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 17:00
Every second Saturday as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Administration (40%)

• Create accurate client quotes
• Generate and adjust invoices
• Maintain time, material, and task records
• Write detailed job reports
• Follow company process for job completion, payments, and client approval
• Liaise with accounts on Yoco payments

• Sales Generation (10%)

• Upsell services and products
• Follow up on outstanding quotes
• Generate new business

• Client Liaison (10%)

• Build rapport with clients and office staff
• Understand client needs and resolve complaints professionally

• Job Preparation (30%)

• Plan daily job routes
• Check tools and vehicles before and after each day
• Accurately select stock for all work, including emergencies

• Technical Execution (10%)

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and drainage systems
• Collaborate with other trades (electricians, builders, etc.)
• Follow plans and blueprints
• Respond to emergency call-outs
• Perform general light construction, painting, plastering, electrical work

Job Requirements:

• Qualifications:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• National Diploma in Plumbing or equivalent qualified plumber certification (mandatory)
• Certification in gas and/or solar installations is advantageous

• Experience:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience with ability to work independently as a qualified plumber

• Skills & Knowledge:

• Knowledge of safety codes and practices
• Proficient with tools of the trade
• Blueprint interpretation
• Excellent client service and communication
• Attention to detail and multitasking
• Basic math and measurement conversion

• Physical Demands:

• Ability to kneel, lift heavy objects, work at heights and in confined spaces

• Legal Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Gas/solar certification is advantageous

Verantwoordelikhede:

• Administrasie (40%)

• Skep van akkurate kwotasies.
• Opstel van fakture volgens werklike werk.
• Hou rekords van tyd, werk en materiaal.
• Skryf volledige tegniese verslae.
• Volg prosedures vir foto's, betalings en kliënt se tekeninge.
• Kommunikeer Yoco-betalings met rekeninge.

• Verkopebevordering (10%)

• Aanbieding van bykomende produkte/dienste aan kliënte (upsell).
• Opvolg van kwotasies.
• Ontwikkeling van nuwe sakegeleenthede.

• Kliëntediens (10%)

• Bou verhoudings met kliënte en kantoorpersoneel.
• Verstaan kliëntbehoeftes en hanteer klagtes professioneel.

• Voorbereiding (30%)

• Beplanning van werk vir doeltreffende roetebeplanning.
• Inspeksie van gereedskap en voertuie daagliks.
• Akkurate keuring van voorraad vir werk.
• Terugplasing van toerusting aan einde van elke dag.

• Tegniese Werkuitvoering (10%)

• Installeer/herstel loodgieterstelsels, dreinering en toebehore.
• Samewerking met kontrakteurs en ander professionele persone.
• Volg van bloudrukke en bouplanne.
• Reaksie op noodsituasies en roetine-inspeksies.
• Algemene handewerk soos pleister, verf en elektriese werk.

Vereistes:

• Kwalifikasies:

• Graad 12
• Nasionale Diploma in Loodgieterswerk of soortgelyke gekwalifiseerde loodgietersertifikaat (verpligtend)
• Sertifikasie in Gas- en Sonkraginstallasies is 'n voordeel

• Ondervinding:

• 3-5 jaar ondervinding as 'n gekwalifiseerde loodgieter in loodgieterswerk, gasinstallasies en/of sonkragstelsels, met selfstandige werkvermoë

• Vaardighede & Kennis:

• Kennis van boukodes, regulasies en veiligheid
• Gebruik van hand- en kraggereedskap
• Lees van planne/bloudrukke
• Kliëntediens, probleemoplossing en aandag aan detail
• Basiese wiskunde en eenheidsomskakeling

• Fisiese Vereistes:

• Moet kan kniel, swaar items dra, op hoogtes werk en in nou ruimtes funksioneer

• Regsvereistes:

• Geldige bestuurslisensie
• Sertifisering in gas- en/of sonkragwerk (voordeel)
