Opportunity Available!! Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a PLC Robotic Engineer to join their dynamic team in East London.

Position Info: Job Description
  • PLC Programming and Administration (Siemens S7, TIA)
  • AGV Programming and Support (Hikrobot, Geek+, Casun)
  • Barcode Scanner configuration and support
  • Torque Tool configuration and support (Atlas Copco)
  • Critical Spares Management
  • Comply with OHS Act regulations and other legislation
  • Involvement with all new projects
  • Writing of applicable Works Instructions
  • Accurately carry out maintenance schedules for production machinery and services (Electrical and Mechanical)
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping at all times
  • Complete all work orders within the designated time frame
  • Perform quality workmanship to prevent rework
  • Ensure all work is performed safely according to safety regulations
  • Speedily rectify breakdowns and handle after-hours call outs
  • Participate in weekly shift and standby duties as per roster
  • Keep Maintenance Manager informed about potential breakdowns and safety threats
  • Adhere to Company HSEE policy
  • Perform shift and standby call out duties
  • Work overtime when required, as agreed with the Manager
Job Requirements
  • Degree or BTech in Electrical Engineering (NQF 6)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering within an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Pneumatic knowledge is advantageous
  • Robotics experience (ABB) is advantageous
  • At least 5 years’ electrical problem-solving experience
  • Process control experience
  • Planning, organizing, and controlling skills
