Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a nurturing ECD Facilitator for a preschool in Nelspruit to guide 3-5 year olds through play-based learning and exploration.

You will plan age-appropriate activities, monitor development, communicate with parents, and collaborate with colleagues to support each child's growth in a safe, caring environment.

The role offers a supportive team, ongoing training in ECD practices, and opportunities to contribute to child-centered learning in Mpumalanga.

Qualifications

• Must have a recognized Early Childhood Development qualification (NQF Level 4/5 or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of experience in an ECD setting with young children.
• Demonstrates a genuine passion for early childhood education and development.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning activities for children aged 3-5 years.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration.
• Monitor and assess children's development, maintaining progress records.
• Communicate with parents regarding their child's development and well-being.
• Collaborate with other ECD practitioners to share practices and resources.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards for childcare.
