Job summary

CVQuest in Johannesburg, Gauteng, is seeking a dedicated production technician to prepare, configure and adjust plastic-forming machinery to maintain high-quality output.

The role requires hands-on mould setup, alignment and maintenance of tool components, and the ability to optimize temperature, pressure and cycle times to meet production specs. You will work on the factory floor, focusing on safety and efficiency, collaborating with teams to minimise downtime and scrap.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in a similar role.
• Install, align and remove moulds and dies according to production specifications.
• Adjust critical settings such as temperature, pressure, cooling systems and cycle times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, configure and adjust plastic-forming machinery and equipment to ensure efficient, high-quality production.
• Monitor production parameters and make adjustments to maintain product quality and process stability.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth setup, changeovers and timely maintenance.
