Headhunters is recruiting a Plastic Injection Mould Setter for a client in Kempton Park, Gauteng. This night-shift, 3‑month temporary role offers potential permanence based on performance.

You will set up and operate TMC and Borche moulding machines, adjust parameters, read job cards and troubleshoot defects to meet safety and quality standards.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Plastic Injection Mould Setter.
• Experience on TMC and Borche injection moulding machines.
• Proven ability to set, change and operate injection moulding machines.
• Ability to adjust machine settings and troubleshoot basic production problems.
• Identify defects and adjust machines accordingly.
• Knowledge of moulds, plastics and injection moulding processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical proficiency.
• Good problem-solving and time management.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Follow production instructions and product specifications.
• Awareness of health and safety and PPE.
• Willing to work night shifts and 10-hour shifts (Mon-Thu).
• Willing to commit to a 3-month temporary contract.

Responsabilidades

• Set up, operate and adjust injection moulding machines to ensure safe production.
• Install, change and remove moulds on injection moulding machines.
• Connect and disconnect water, air, hydraulic and other lines.
• Set and adjust machine temperatures, pressures, cycle times and other parameters.
• Start machines and monitor production for safe operation.
• Adjust settings to correct defects and maintain quality.
• Read and follow job cards, instructions and specs.
• Load correct raw materials into machine hoppers.
• Monitor material usage and colour accuracy.
• Inspect finished products for defects.
• Reduce scrap and downtime.
• Basic troubleshooting and maintenance on machines.
• Report machine, mould or equipment problems to the supervisor.
• Ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved.
• Complete production and quality documentation.
• Keep machines and work areas clean, safe and organised.
• Follow health and safety rules and wear PPE.
• Perform other duties as instructed.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate and adjust plastic injection moulding machines to ensure safe and efficient production.
• Set up, install, change and remove moulds on injection moulding machines.
• Connect and disconnect water, air, hydraulic and other required lines.
• Set and adjust machine temperatures, pressures, cycle times and other machine parameters.
• Start machines and monitor production to ensure safe and correct operation.
• Adjust machine settings to correct defects and maintain required product quality.
• Read and follow job cards, production instructions and product specifications.
• Load the correct raw materials into machine hoppers.
• Monitor material usage and ensure the correct materials and colours are used.
• Inspect finished products and identify defects.
• Monitor and reduce scrap, rejects and unnecessary downtime.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Report machine, mould or equipment problems to the relevant supervisor or manager.
• Ensure production targets and required quality standards are achieved.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.
• Keep machines and work areas clean, safe and organised.
• Follow all company health and safety rules and wear the required PPE.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as instructed by management.
