Job summary

Samancor Chrome is seeking a capable production leader in Mpumalanga to optimise the plant's output while ensuring safe and compliant operations. You will drive continuous improvement across production, maintenance and quality standards, lead a diverse team, and monitor performance against the annual plan.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on cost control and safety, in a demanding mining environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in production/plant environment with safety compliance
• Ability to lead teams and drive performance against targets
• Strong planning, budgeting and collaboration with cross-functional sites

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess risk exposures and implement mitigations
• Manage section with an enabling culture and labour stability targets
• Ensure SHERQ compliance using IMS and relevant systems
• Drive production strategy and annual budget adherence
• Coordinate maintenance planning to meet production capacity and safety standards
• Conduct performance discussions and talent development initiatives
• Ensure customer satisfaction and operational performance alignment
