Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Plant Physiologist to lead and manage lab-based experimental trials. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, analyzing, and reporting scientific experiments to support product development, innovation, and regulatory submissions. This role demands a strong scientific background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and conduct laboratory trials, including hypothesis development, protocol writing, and methodology planning.
- Ensure that experiments are conducted scientifically.
- Analyze data using appropriate statistical methods and draw scientifically valid conclusions.
- Prepare comprehensive trial reports, publications, and presentations for internal stakeholders and/or external regulators.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date lab records and documentation.
- Lead or support the development of new assays, methods, or technologies as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, regulatory, and field trial teams.
- Supervise junior researchers or lab technicians as required.
- Maintain and calibrate lab equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
- Stay current with scientific literature, trends, and innovations relevant to ongoing projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master of Science (MSc) in Plant Physiology, Botany, Plant Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in laboratory-based research.
- Proven track record of designing and executing successful lab trials.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis.
- Strong scientific writing skills and experience preparing reports or peer-reviewed publications.
