Qualifications

Job description

Introduction

To coordinate all plant operations activities and monitor overall plant performance to enhance productivity and long-term efficiency of the plant and equipment in accordance with overall operations and maintenance plans, HSE guidelines, and quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Performance Management: Monitor daily performance of the plant and ensure that all parameters are within the specified limits, as per the defined operations plan.
  • Maintenance Inspections
  • Troubleshooting and Technical Guidance
  • Health, Safety, Security, and Environment
  • Integrated Management System implementation
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Policies, Processes, Systems, and Procedures
Desired Experience & Qualifications

Engineering Degree at NQF level 7 or higher is preferred.
Government Certificate of Competency (non-negotiable)

5-10 years’ experience in process and performance engineering in water desalination and power generation plants, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Practical experience and know-how of electrical, mechanical, and instrument technology engineering.
Knowledge of downtime analysis and practical problem-solving tools.
Knowledge of maintenance management methods, predictive inspection tools, and CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System).
Good knowledge of SAP.
