Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical Diploma or Mechanical Engineering Degree
- 2-4 years experience in a similar managerial position
- 5 years minimum experience in maintenance and engineering roles in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Sound knowledge of boilers, steam systems, power generation equipment, stock control, and store management
- CMMS knowledge
- Sound knowledge of OHS Act
- Sound knowledge and experience in Labour Legislation
- General Machinery Regulations experience is an advantage
Key Performance Outputs:
- Primarily oversee all mechanical and electrical maintenance systems, processes, practices, and people to support the operational departmental actions
- Align with the operations plan to ensure plant optimization and efficiency, maintenance planning, and capital spares optimization
- Lead the site Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure
- Responsible for ensuring that the facility operates to its maximum efficiency and output
- Responsibilities include total preventative maintenance and managing breakdowns of mechanical and electrical equipment
Skills and Competencies:
- Sound knowledge of boilers, steam systems, power generation equipment, stock control, and store management
- CMMS knowledge
- Sound knowledge of OHS Act
- Sound knowledge and experience in Labour Legislation
- General Machinery Regulations experience is an advantage
- Knowledge and understanding of power plant operations and associated risks
- Knowledge and understanding of SHERQ management systems
