Job summary

A leading company in advanced water treatment is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee production and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will have a B.Eng or BTech in Chemical Engineering and at least 3-5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety standards, managing financial controls, and optimizing plant performance. Qualifications

Oversee and manage respective Plant Supervisor(s), Production & Maintenance teams within

The area of responsibility

  • Manage production & maintenance team utilization and performance/output.
  • Responsible for plant performance and compliance with contractual quality and quantity KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with Company and Client safety standards.
  • Take accountability for Safety Performance in accordance with MHSA / OSHA legal requirements.
Appointment
  • Maintain effective administration and control procedures to meet performance objectives, including financial control, HR / IR, procurement, and stock management.
  • Continuously improve and optimize processes.
  • Implement and maintain Financial Control with Profit & Loss accountability for the plant(s).
  • Monitor and keep detailed records and reporting on all aspects of the processes and ongoing projects.
  • Ensure efficient resource management of employees to meet performance goals.
Objectives required of them
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering professional and high-quality service.
  • Participate in client feedback meetings and reporting as required.
  • Compile Plant Reports and attend client meetings as necessary.
  • Monitor plant health and proactively intervene to ensure plant availability is optimized.
  • Report effectively to the Operations Manager of the area.
  • Perform plant operational standby duties.
Experience, Qualifications & Functional Competencies
  • Qualifications: B.Eng or BTech in Chemical Engineering (preferred). Civil and Mechanical qualifications will be considered based on relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in advanced water treatment.
  • Experience in RO, UF, Precipitation, Clarification is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in managing staff is an advantage.
  • Understanding of plant health and water treatment asset management.
  • Proven record of satisfactory prior performance.
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, database, PowerPoint, and email.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skills in planning, attention to detail, and process troubleshooting.
