THE JOB AT A GLANCE


You are accountable for managing the 2 plants to deliver customer service levels, quality, manufacturing standards, and manufacturing results as per the defined SC KPIs and additional metrics in the SLA applicable to Boksburg plant. You will act as a counterpart for the business unit/category lead in the S&OP process to ensure supply chain execution. Your responsibilities include production execution, asset maintenance, technology, projects, quality assurance/control, human resources, and information systems. You will drive continuous improvement and MECP within your cluster to leverage manufacturing scale, reduce conversion costs, and ensure positive productivity results in the overall income statement.


Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  1. Guide your leadership team to align all activities towards realising the vision.
  2. Provide general management over the Plants, including quality assurance/control, safety, human resources, finance, manufacturing execution, engineering, materials management, and information systems.
  3. Lead MECP change programs, principles, objectives, and target setting. Support the implementation of MECP pillars. Sign-off on linking MECP loss and cost concepts to foster a cost-conscious management culture.
  4. Accountable for plant programs aimed at process optimization, including quality, safety, schedule adherence, costs, productivity, and efficiency. Develop strategies and standards to meet business plans based on analysis.
  5. Drive strategic capability development initiatives at manufacturing sites and influence broader development planning.
  6. Develop knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies. Identify projects that create value aligned with manufacturing strategies. Execute the factory CAPEX plan.
  7. Coordinate effective strategies, planning, communication, and cooperation among plant functions, suppliers, vendors, contractors, and other locations.
  8. Manage factory relationships and benchmark production performance. Build internal and external networks. Adopt a customer service mindset.
  9. Manage compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. Execute QSSS programs, E&S & Risk audits, and drive EHS compliance. Monitor and report on related costs and programs.
  10. Ensure adherence to Tiger Brands processes and procedures.
