Serioplast, a global leader in rigid plastic packaging, is looking for a Plant Manager for its plant in South Africa. Are you a dynamic Plant Manager seeking an exciting opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment?

What will you do?
  1. Manage and coordinate plant operations to achieve optimal performance targets according to company standards and procedures.
  2. Promote successful long-term business strategies through effective, open communication and feedback.
  3. Manage manpower, overseeing staff preparation and development.
  4. Represent the company towards third parties (e.g., customers) and local authorities when necessary.
  5. Manage and coordinate plant activities in production, technical matters, logistics, and quality.
  6. Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficient logistics, production output, and product quality.
  7. Participate in drafting and analyzing budgets and forecasts for the plant.
  8. Monitor and improve KPIs such as MOL/VA, material yield, conformity rate, productivity index, and 5S.
  9. Implement improvement plans to reduce costs and enhance plant performance, focusing on manpower management, energy efficiency, and process automation, applying WCM practices.
What are we looking for?
  • Good knowledge of plastic molding technologies (EBM and/or SBM and/or IM).
  • Excellent applied knowledge of WCM standards.
  • Good knowledge of health, safety, and environment rules and practices.
  • Good knowledge of the supply chain process.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD 2D software.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience is preferable.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a production or plant manager in FMCG or automotive industries.
