About the Role

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Manage the adequacy between Demand (Firm & Forecast) and Resources (Manufacturing & Procurement) to reach customers QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) and projects timescales while optimizing site resources (people, machines & cash). Note: the scope of work / accountability depends on the typology of the site to which the Industrial Planner belongs.

Main Responsibilities

• Apply Industrial Planning Golden rules.
• Apply EHS (Environment Health Safety) rules (Alstom Zero Deviation Plan) when moving in workshops.
• Manage demand (firm & forecast) in the Core Planning Tools and / or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning).

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

• Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Production Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

Experience

Mandatory:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in production, materials, supply or industrial planning within a manufacturing or project-based environment.
• Practical experience using an ERP / MRP system to manage demand, materials, capacity, production schedules, and inventory.
• Working knowledge of production scheduling, material requirements planning, capacity planning, inventory control, and demand/supply balancing.

Desirable:

• Knowledgeable of End-to-End vision for Industrial Planning process and process impact in ERP for procurement and manufacturing.

Competencies & Skills

Technical:

• Good knowledge of Core Planning Tool, ERP, and Excel.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, and reporting.
• Ability to analyze planning data, identify constraints and risks, and recommend practical corrective actions.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English for operational reporting and stakeholder communication.
