Position Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle.
  • Determine required materials purchases based on engineering and production schedules.
  • Maintain inventory levels through Just in Time purchases and EOQ methods.
  • Resolve discrepancies and maintain bills of material and parts/commodities in supply chain systems.
  • Ensure material standards are met; approve or minimize non-conformances or variances.
  • Develop specifications for new contract orders, gather quotations, examine bids, and make awards.
  • Monitor costs, schedules, and scope of subcontracts to ensure quality and value.
  • Evaluate vendor reliability and develop new supply sources as needed.
  • Apply general concepts and principles to resolve various issues.
  • Work on moderate scope problems, analyzing situations considering multiple factors.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires a degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
