Piggery Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Piggery Manager to oversee all aspects of our pig farming operations. Reporting and working together with the senior manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring health and welfare of the livestock, maintaining facilities, and overseeing breeding programs. Your role will also involve monitoring production levels, implementing health and safety procedures, and managing budgets effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the piggery
• Manage a team of staff and provide training when needed
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards
• Monitor livestock health and welfare
• Manage budgets and optimize production levels
• Oversee maintenance of facilities and equipment
• Implement health and safety protocols
• Must have experience in dealing with growers and their health and nutrition
• Have at least 3 years proven experience in managing a large weaner / grower site
• Must have excellent senior management experience
• Hands on approach
