Salary: $92,954 per annum – $98,000 + super + approximately $30,000 salary sacrifice options (individual circumstances vary).

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate physiotherapist to join our dynamic team at Primary Health Care. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals seeking to improve their physical health and well-being.

You will work closely with patients to assess their needs, develop tailored treatment plans, and support them in their rehabilitation journey. Additionally, you will educate patients on injury prevention, exercise techniques, and lifestyle modifications to enhance their recovery and overall health. We are looking for someone who is skilled, knowledgeable, and an advocate for patient empowerment, capable of connecting with patients and helping them navigate their health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work collaboratively with all employees of WDNWPT and other health providers to ensure continuity of holistic, quality care for patients with diagnosed or at-risk chronic diseases.
  2. Manage physiotherapy needs for a caseload of patients with complex, chronic conditions.
  3. Hold physical exercise sessions for patients.
  4. Provide targeted massages and joint manipulation.
  5. Educate patients about movement and exercise.
  6. Write reports for doctors and medical specialists.
  7. Assist patients in managing chronic diseases or acute injuries.
  8. Improve patient mobility and quality of life.
  9. Coordinate with GPs, nurses, allied health, and specialist clinics for Purple House patients.
  10. Collaborate with external health practitioners for a multidisciplinary approach.
  11. Provide health promotion and preventative physiotherapy advice.
  12. Utilize a recall system to meet patients' physiotherapy needs timely.
  13. Work with social support, nutrition, and aged care/NDIS teams for holistic care.
  14. Assist in completing health assessments and chronic disease management plans.
  15. Maintain high-standard patient records.
  16. Liaise with management and participate in team meetings.
  17. Promote a safe work environment in line with legislative requirements and safety guidelines.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor or Master of Physiotherapy.
  • Registration with the Australian Physiotherapy Board.
  • Experience in primary healthcare and working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience as a sole clinician and with culturally diverse communities.
  • Current National Criminal History check (< 6 months old).
  • Unrestricted driver license for NT driving.
  • Immunisation including COVID-19 (2 jabs + booster), Hepatitis A & B, MMR, Varicella, BCG, Influenza, Pertussis.
