Job Objectives :
- To ensure and provide high standards of pharmaceutical care, accurate and safe dispensing, including generic substitution, and advice in accordance with Clicks’ way of working, good pharmacy practice, and within the legal scope of practice as outlined by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
- To efficiently manage and control all operational activities of the dispensary, including stock management, shrinkage, housekeeping, and administration aligned with merchandising, SAPC regulations, and company standards.
- To ensure the dispensary's operational viability through sound financial management, focusing on core dispensary and clinic targets, managing expenses, and taking proactive actions as needed.
- To develop competent and motivated employees, including learners and interns, through effective selection, leadership, management, and ongoing development to meet current and future business needs.
- To schedule staff appropriately according to labour policies, ensuring departments are fully staffed, with complete and accurate weekly time and attendance records submitted to HR.
- To manage customer service initiatives in the dispensary that enhance customer experience, foster loyalty, and meet club card participation targets.
- To foster integration and partnership with the clinic and healthcare aisle, providing comprehensive healthcare offerings to customers.
- To support the Group’s vision of being the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer by embodying and promoting company values.
- To promote cohesion, consistency, and integration among store operation, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
- To cultivate a high-performing business culture that enhances employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.
Minimum requirements
Education and Experience Requirements :
- Essential: Registered Pharmacist with SAPC
- Essential: Minimum 2 years’ experience post community service year
- Essential: Minimum 1 year People Management experience
- Essential: Registration with SAPC as the Responsible Pharmacist
- Desirable: Retail Pharmacy experience
- Desirable: Unisolv experience
