The ideal candidate will have a solid background in pharmacy management, experience in retail, and be a registered pharmacist with at least two years of post-community service experience. Qualifications

  • Registered Pharmacist with SAPC.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience post community service.
  • At least 1 year of people management experience.
  • Registration with SAPC as the Responsible Pharmacist.
  • Retail pharmacy experience (desirable).
  • Experience with Unisolv (desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high standards of pharmaceutical care and safe dispensing.
  • Manage operational activities of the dispensary.
  • Maintain dispensary's operational viability through financial management.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate employees, including learners.

Job description

Job Title: Pharmacy Manager - Clicks Braamfontein

Job Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg

Deadline: August 25, 2025

Job Objectives:

  1. Ensure and provide high standards of pharmaceutical care, accurate and safe dispensing, including generic substitution, and advice in accordance with Clicks’ standards, good pharmacy practice, and SAPC regulations.
  2. Manage all operational activities of the dispensary, including stock management, shrinkage control, housekeeping, and administration, aligned with merchandising, SAPC regulations, and company standards.
  3. Maintain the dispensary's operational viability through sound financial management, focusing on core targets, managing expenses, and taking proactive actions.
  4. Lead, develop, and motivate employees, including learners and interns, to build capacity and meet current and future business needs.
  5. Schedule staff effectively in line with labour policies, ensuring proper attendance records are maintained and submitted.
  6. Manage customer service initiatives to enhance customer experience, loyalty, and club card participation.
  7. Foster integration with the clinic and healthcare aisle to provide comprehensive healthcare offerings to customers.
  8. Support the Group’s vision to be the customer's first choice in health and beauty retail by embodying and promoting company values.
  9. Promote cohesion and collaboration among store operation, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
  10. Drive a high-performance culture that enhances employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.
