Job summary

University of Fort Hare seeks a Case Management Specialist (Pharmacovigilance) to join our Local Medical Safety team. You will own case processing, safety reporting, and ensure regulatory compliance within a global PV framework.

The role requires 2+ years in pharma, proficiency in medical terminology, and strong analytical and communication skills. You will work independently to meet tight deadlines and contribute to safety training and awareness.

Qualifications

• Degree in life, health, or pharmaceutical sciences (preferred).
• Proficiency in medical terminology.
• 2+ years in pharma with 1 year in PV/case processing.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage local collection, review, reporting, and reconciliation of ICSRs.
• Ensure PV audit and inspection readiness at all times.
• Support preparation and submission of aggregate safety reports.
• Monitor and implement local and global PV regulatory requirements.
• Escalate and manage compliance issues, CAPAs, and non-conformances.
• Deliver AE/PQC training and safety awareness support.
