Job summary

Unicare 24 Hour Pharmacy in SchuinVilla seeks a Pharmacist who excels in customer service and pharmaceutical care. You will dispense safely, advise patients, and ensure compliance with SAPC regulations while supporting stock control and training of staff.

Report to the Dispensary Manager and collaborate with clinic and healthcare teams to offer comprehensive patient care and a strong customer experience in a busy retail pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• B Pharm degree with SAPC registration or eligibility
• Minimum 2 years post-community service experience in community pharmacy
• Knowledge of SAPC regulations and pharmaceutical care standards
• Excellent customer service and patient counselling abilities

Responsibilities

• Provide high standards of pharmaceutical care and safe dispensing
• Manage stock, shrinkage, and administration in line with SAPC and company standards
• Oversee training of Pharmacist Assistants and Interns

Introduction

Unicare is currently seeking to appoint a Pharmacist that is passionate about customer service. The role will be based at Unicare 24 Hour Pharmacy in SchuinVilla and will report to the Dispensary Manager.

Duties will include but not limited to:

• To provide high standards of pharmaceutical care, accurate and safe dispensing, including generic substitution, and the provision of advice in accordance with the UniCare way of working, good pharmacy practice and within the legal scope of practice as outlined by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
• To efficiently execute all operational activities of the dispensary, including safe and responsible stock management, shrinkage, general housekeeping and administration in line with merchandising, SAPC regulations and company standards.
• To ensure competent and motivated employees by overseeing training and development of Pharmacist Assistants and Pharmacist Interns in line with SAPC requirements when required.
• To build and maintain sound working relationships with relevant stakeholders
• To ensure integration and partnership with the clinic and healthcare departments resulting in a full offering to customers regarding their healthcare needs
• To support the Group’s vision to be the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer by living and driving the company values.

Qualifications and Experience:

• B Pharm Degree
• 2 Years Experience after Community Service
