Pharmacist - Bromhoff - Randburg

Dis-Chem Pharmacies require the services of a reputable Pharmacist for their Bromhoff store.

Your portfolio will cover the provision of pharmaceutical care by taking responsibility for patients' medicine-related needs, and being accountable for meeting these needs.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Essential: Grade 12 / Matric, BPharm / equivalent qualification, Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC), Min 2-3 years experience in Pharmaceutical and retail pharmacy (Student / Intern), Computer literate – MS Office.
2. Advantageous: Relevant retail / FMCG experience, Third additional language, SAP experience, E-scripting experience, Registered tutor, Unisolv experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provision of pharmaceutical care, including evaluation of a patient's medicine-related needs, dispensing, signing off prescriptions, and providing advice on medicine use.
• Determine patient compliance and follow-up to meet medicine-related needs.
• Engage in pharmacist-initiated therapy, compounding, manufacturing, and distribution of medicines.
• Handle all acts pertaining to the profession as prescribed by relevant legislation.
• Interpret scripts, ensure legal compliance, and accurately capture and verify patient details.
• Provide patient instructions, keep abreast of medical aid procedures, and assist with claims processing.
• Follow up on script tracking and medical aid costs, and ensure stock and administrative controls are maintained.
• Assist with stock takes, stock control, and ensure compliance with policies, safety, and appearance standards.

Competencies:

• Strong command of English and a second language, good communication, customer service, supervisory experience, conflict management, attention to detail, numerical skills, problem-solving, teamwork, trustworthiness, time management, and computer literacy.

Special Conditions:

• Registered with SAPC, willing to work retail hours, physically fit, valid driver's license, South African citizen, clear credit and criminal records.
