Job summary

Clicks Group in Cape Town is seeking a Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic to join our central pharmacy team and provide pharmaceutical care in line with SOPs. You will focus on dispensing administration and patient satisfaction while supporting day-to-day pharmacy operations.

The role requires a Post Basic qualification, at least 1 year in the role, and strong customer service skills, bilingual in English, with the ability to handle confidential information and work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year in a Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic role.
• Excellent customer service and patient-focused approach.
• Ability to follow SOPs with confidentiality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers professionally and maintain confidentiality.

Introduction

Responsible for providing pharmaceutical care services (within scope of practice) and performing day-to-day dispensary administration according to company's Standard Operating Plans (SOPs). To focus on the administration of scripts to provide general dispensing duties with the emphasis on patient satisfaction

Job Objectives

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers in a professional manner and with strict confidentiality within SOP and agreed timelines
• Administration of scripts and or any other claiming/capturing related procedure
• Accurate and complete handling of all profiles worked on
• Interact with health care professionals where needed
• Problem solving and follow up of queries

Duties

• Interact with customersvia telephone or other means regarding medication and Healthcare Services
• Accurate capturing of scripts received at the Central Pharmacy centre
• Handling of queries regarding prescriptions
• Patient Profile management
• Assist with Chronic authorizations
• Liaison with all other departments
• Ad hoc requirements as per operational requirements
