Job summary

Clicks Group's Unicare Parklands is seeking a Pharmacist Assistant QPB (Day/Night) to join the 24 Hour Pharmacy team in Parklands, Cape Town. You will support dispensing, customer service and medication management under SOPs, reporting to the Dispensary Manager.

The role requires at least 1 year as Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic, retail experience, and knowledge of SAPC processes. You will handle prescriptions, chronic authorizations, stock control and health advice, ensuring confidentiality

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in the role of Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic.
• Retail Experience.
• Education: Further Education and Training Certificate Pharmacist Assistance (Essential).

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers in a professional manner and with strict confidentiality within SOP and agreed timelines.
• Dispensing of scripts and/or any other claiming/capturing related procedure.
• Accurate and complete handling of all profiles worked on.
• Interact with health care professionals where needed.
• Problem solving and follow up of queries.
• Interact with customers via telephone or other means regarding medication and Healthcare Services.
• Handling of queries regarding prescriptions.
• Assist with Chronic authorizations in collaboration with the medical aid team.
• Liaison with all other departments.
• Ad hoc requirements as per operational requirements.
• High standards of customer service and care.
• Efficient stock control and administration, including repacking of medicine.
• Efficient dispensary administration.
• Provision of general health advice.
• High standards of housekeeping and merchandise display.
