We require Sales Reps to promote and sell pharmaceutical products to dispensing doctors and pharmacies. This position is available for reps in Gauteng, North West, Free State, and Northern Cape.
Minimum Requirements :
- BCom Business Management, Pharmacy, or Marketing Degree (not BA or BSc degrees)
- Previous pharmaceutical sales experience
- Experience selling to dispensing doctors and pharmacies
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical products
- Willingness to travel to other regions and occasionally stay overnight
- Own car and valid license
Duties and Responsibilities :
Driving Sales and Engaging Customers
- Execute a targeted sales plan focused on dispensing doctors, as well as independent and corporate pharmacies within the designated region.
- Regularly visit these healthcare professionals to showcase and sell the company's pharmaceutical offerings.
- Aim to achieve and surpass established sales goals and business objectives.
- Oversee product orders and ensure appropriate inventory levels at dispensing locations and pharmacies.
Cultivating and Managing Relationships
- Establish and nurture strong professional connections with dispensing doctors, pharmacists, and key influencers in the assigned territories.
- Keep clients informed about product updates, changes, and relevant industry news.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and issues to ensure satisfaction and foster enduring business partnerships.
Gathering Market Insights
- Track competitor activities by collecting market intelligence on pricing, new product introductions, marketing approaches, and sales methods.
- Identify emerging market trends and changes in business practices that could influence sales strategies.
Reporting and Administration
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, meetings, and significant sales activities.
- Generate reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitive analysis for management review.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines, industry regulations, and relevant standards.
Providing Educational Support
- Deliver training sessions and product demonstrations to dispensing doctors and pharmacy personnel to improve product understanding and promote adoption.
- Supply relevant product information and resources to healthcare professionals to facilitate informed prescribing and purchasing decisions.
Contributing to Strategic Development
- Participate in sales strategy discussions to review targets, explore new opportunities, and develop growth strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing and prescription teams to create and implement product launch plans and customer engagement programs.
