Placements24 is seeking a skilled Pharmaceutical Microbiologist to join the quality control laboratory in Upington. You will perform microbial identification, sterility testing, and environmental monitoring to ensure the safety and quality of pharmaceutical products, while maintaining detailed records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Pharmacy, or related life science field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech microbiology laboratory.
• Proficiency in microbial enumeration, identification, and sterility testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing on raw materials and finished products according to established methods.
• Conduct environmental monitoring of manufacturing cleanrooms, including air and surface sampling.
• Perform sterility testing of sterile products and monitor growth promotion of microbial media.
• Identify and characterize microbial isolates and investigate contamination events.
• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records of testing procedures and results.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and relevant microbiological guidelines.
